The Day

It starts on a quiet farm at the edge of Scone, Ontario. The October light is golden. The air smells like earth and hay. And then — the sound of hooves.

1:00 PM

The Ceremony

The ceremony takes place outdoors at Barb's Farmin Scone, Ontario — a sprawling property surrounded by fields and open sky. We’ve got a surprise or two in store. That’s all we’re saying.

Please arrive by 12:30 PM. Think garden party attire — it’s a working farm, so flat or sturdy shoes, a layer for the October air, maybe sunscreen. Seating is simple wooden benches. We’re going ahead rain or shine, so tuck an umbrella in the car just in case.

After the vows and the farm photos, we drift into Walkerton — about half an hour down the road. There’s time to settle into your room, then meet us at the bar.

Dancing

Dinner and dancing at the Best Western Plus Walkerton Hotel & Conference Centre. The evening's soundtrack is curated by an AI-powered DJ — trained on decades of floor-fillers and programmed to read the room.

Cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres runs 3:30 to 4:30, then the reception begins at 5:00. Cash bar all evening, wine served with dinner. The cocktail window runs long on purpose — settle in, mingle, take a breath.

Getting There

Shuttle

We've arranged a shuttle so no one has to drive. It leaves the Best Western in Walkerton at 12:15 PM to bring you out to the farm, then departs the farm at 2:45 PM to carry everyone back for cocktails and the reception.

Stay

A block of rooms is reserved at the Best Western Plus Walkerton — the same venue as the reception. King rooms at $170/night and Queen rooms at $179/night, breakfast included.

Call 1-855-436-3030 and reserve under Amburn Wedding Reception.

Book by September 3rd — unreserved rooms revert to public after that.

A Few Notes

Adults only.We love your kids — we really do — but we’ve decided to keep this celebration just for the grown-ups. We hope the night off lets you relax, stay late, and enjoy it with us.

Your presence is the present. Please, no gifts — celebrating the day with you is more than enough.

More details — parking, the shuttle schedule, what to wear — will land here as the day gets closer.

Will you join us?

We’d love nothing more.
